Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Crane Operator to safely move materials in the warehouse. The role requires knowledge of cranes, lifting devices, and daily safety inspections. You will operate banding equipment, move materials, and support packaging tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include 1 year of related experience, forklift experience, mechanical aptitude, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Proficiency with basic computer programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the related field.
• Previous forklift experience is required.
• Must be mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Use of Micrometer, Calipers, and Measuring tape strongly preferred.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices
• Knowledge of general computer programs are strongly preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• The Crane Operator is responsible for safe efficient transfer of materials in the warehouse.
• Inspect the work area and machines daily for safe working conditions.
• Operate banding equipment, packaging material and tow-motor operation.
