Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking an experienced Crane Operator / Rigger for a 2nd shift in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role focuses on safe lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads using cranes from 20 to 75 tons, with extensive rigging duties.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of crane operation experience and proven rigging skills, with the ability to adapt to changing production schedules in a fast-paced environment. Overtime is paid at time and a half for hours over 40 per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of crane operation experience with heavy loads and ensuring safety.
• Proven rigging experience and safety-focused practices.
• Ability to adapt to updated production schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Crane Operation: Operate stationary or traveling cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads within the industrial work area.
• Safety Compliance: Depress buttons, lift levers, and ensure loads are securely attached to the crane before any lift, adhering to safety policies.
• Load Movement: Move products, equipment, or materials to and from designated industrial work areas efficiently and safely.
• Rigging: Rig and load units onto trucks for transport, ensuring proper balance and security.
• Work Schedule: Flexibility to work 50-55 hours per week, including partial Saturdays, with overtime paid at time and a half for hours over 40.
