Primoris Heavy Civil in Holden, LA is actively seeking a Crane Operator to operate hydraulic and lattice boom cranes on our construction sites. You will read load charts, follow hand signals, and place materials safely under OSHA guidelines.

The role requires NCCCO certification and 3–5 years of verifiable crane experience, a valid drivers license, and a strong commitment to safety. Daily crane inspections and assistance with other tasks may be part of the role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic, lattice boom, and other types of cranes to lift, move, position, and place heavy materials and equipment.
• Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and hand signals to determine load capacities, lifting procedures, and proper placement of materials.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections of cranes, including checking fluid levels, controls, and safety devices, and documenting findings.
• Maintain clear communication with ground crew, signal persons, and supervisors during lifting operations.
• Ensure the stability of the crane and the load by verifying proper rigging and load securement.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and local codes regarding crane operation.
• Conduct routine maintenance and lubrication of crane components as required.
• Identify and report any malfunctions or defects of the crane to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with other construction tasks on site when not operating the crane, as directed by the supervisor.
