Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is seeking a Crane Operator to lift and move materials using an overhead crane, ensuring loads are secure and comply with customer standards.

You will perform daily crane inspections, locate material by production information, transfer items to machines or storage, and move components through packaging and weighing areas, while promptly reporting safety and quality concerns to your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an overhead crane.
• Knowledge of crane operation protocol.
• Ability to use tape measure and micrometer.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead crane to lift and move materials, equipment and/or products.
• Perform daily crane inspection and documentation.
• Locate material based on production information.
• Pull material from storage and transfer to machine storage or equipment.
• Move material from machines to packaging and scales.
• Remove and replace slitter heads and scrap hoppers.
• Communicate safety concerns and quality problems to supervisor and/or shift lead.
