Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an experienced NCCCO or NCCER crane operator for our Core Crane and Rigging group located at our Pasadena yard, TX. This role requires operating cranes, reading load charts, and following signals to move materials safely.

Applicants must hold NCCCO/NCCER certification, have a valid CDL, and possess or obtain a TWIC card. Candidates should be willing to work extended hours and travel to onsite locations as needed. Turner Industries is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• NCCCO or NCCER Certification for both small and large hydraulic cranes required.
• Valid CDL Driver's License required.
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
• Candidates must be available to work extended hours and answer callouts as needed; travel to onsite locations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered cranes following load charts and load placement signals.
• Read and interpret load charts and follow hand signals to position materials.
• May assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects; work on unlevel surfaces if required.
• Be available for extended hours, callouts, and travel to various site locations.

Functional Requirements:

Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads and interprets load charts; may assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects; may be required to manipulate equipment on un-level working surfaces; may perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment.
