Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Crane Operator to join a safety-first, team-driven company that builds, lifts, and moves America. This full-time local role in Cedar Rapids offers hands-on experience with equipment ranging from boom trucks to 600-ton cranes on varied projects across plants, wind farms, and local heavy-haul work.

You will perform daily lifting, assist with rigging, and support transport activities while maintaining load control and clear site communication.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required and NCCCO certification essential.
• Strong commitment to safety and effective site communication.
• TWIC card preferred; willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes ranging from boom trucks to 600-ton equipment.
• Perform daily lifting operations and crane operations.
• Support crane assembly, rigging, and heavy haul projects.
• Work across plants, wind farms, and local taxi jobs.
• Assist with transport operations including trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment.
• Maintain load control and communicate with rigging crews to ensure safe lifts.
