Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a skilled overhead Crane Operator to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: 250 Swathmore Ave High Point, NC 27263

Responsibilities:

  • Operate various types of cranes, such as overhead cranes, to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and components.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on the crane and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Interpret load charts and rigging diagrams to determine load capacities, rigging configurations, and lifting procedures.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, riggers, and other team members to plan and execute lifting operations safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect lifting attachments, slings, and rigging hardware for defects or damage before each lift and report issues.
  • Monitor crane operations to ensure safe and precise movement of loads, adjusting controls as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with ground crew, spotters, and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
  • Assist in maintenance and repair of cranes and related equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to crane operation and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English or Spanish (reading and speaking).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid crane operator certification or license.
  • Proven experience as a crane operator in manufacturing or construction environments.
  • Understanding of crane operation principles, load dynamics, and rigging techniques.
  • Ability to interpret load charts, rigging diagrams, and technical documents.

  • Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Attention to detail in crane operation and load handling.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.

  • Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods.
