Position Overview

Are you looking for a hands-on, exciting role that combines crane operation with welding and mechanical services? As a Crane Operator in our Field Welding and Mechanical Services Group, you'll operate various cranes, assist with welding, fabrication, and mechanical tasks, and support our team in moving large objects with precision. This role involves being part of a skilled trade crew, engaging in welding, fit-up, or fabrication tasks, and ensuring customer satisfaction and project efficiency.

Responsibilities

1. Operate all sizes of cranes according to work requirements.
2. Control rigging, lifting, moving, and positioning loads.
3. Ensure loads are safely attached and within lifting capacities.
4. Perform safety inspections and maintain crane equipment.
5. Provide non-certified welding services for construction and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years crane service experience preferred.
• NCCCO certification required.
• Welding experience required; mechanical/electrical experience preferred.
• Proficiency with multiple crane applications.
• 2+ years of industrial welding or trade-school completion preferred.
• Ability to weld in various positions.

Working Conditions

• Sit, walk, handle objects, climb ladders, crawl, kneel, or lie down.
• Lift/move up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Work in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Extended hours and shift work may be required.
• Wear safety equipment as per OSHA/MSHA standards.
