Job description

Position Summary

Operate various types of cranes in accordance with all manufacturer and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects.
• Plan all lifts and take complete charge of safety during setup, operation, and proper use of capacity charts.
• Perform rigging and daily equipment inspections.
• Respond to hand and verbal commands from riggers or helpers.
• Monitor load travel and take actions to prevent injury or property damage.
• Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities, and determine time, costs, and resources needed for tasks.
• Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance with plans and specifications, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge and skills related to crane operation.
• Ability to understand and communicate instructions effectively.
• Proficient in using electrical, hand, power, and measurement tools.

Requirements

• Meet physical requirements.
• Possess all necessary tools.
• Capable of climbing and working at heights (may exceed 200 ft) and in confined spaces.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Follow safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.
