DescriptionSHIFT: 2nd SHIFT
- Coil receiving including unloading trucks and placing coils in designated coil storage areas.
- Completing all receiving paperwork timely and use of kanban card system.
- Staging coils at feed lines and returning banded coils to designated coil storage areas.
- Staging dies and returning dies to designated die storage areas.
- Housekeeping of all coil storage areas including alignment of coils, floor free of paper, debris and mill oils, hoppers emptied and other general housekeeping duties.
- Operate floor scrubber in coil and die storage areas.
- Cycle count of coils on hand and comparison to inventory records.
- Monitors status of external transfer press bolsters. Completes changeovers on external bolsters promptly to ensure readiness.
- Performs daily crane and chain inspections. Documents inspections and reports identified issues immediately.
- Performs other essential functions as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Training and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Prefer 2 years experience in similar position with Auto Industry.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Communication and Analytical skills as well as computer literate.
MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Employee is required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. May exert up to 50 pounds of force on occasion. Visual activity for reading documents, computer screens, and office machines.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal stamping and assembly plant environment. Employee is subject to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
