  • Complete assigned pre-use walk-around and cab checks; report leaks, damage, failed functions, warning lights, unusual sounds, or missing documents before operation.
  • Assist with crane positioning, mats, cribbing, outrigger deployment, leveling, accessories, and work-area controls exactly as directed.

  • Maintain swing-radius, fall-zone, power-line, traffic, and access controls and verify personnel are clear before moving the crane, boom, hook, or load.
  • Perform basic hoist, lower, boom, telescope, and swing functions smoothly under direct supervision; keep the load line vertical and avoid shock loading or side pulling.
  • Follow the designated qualified signal person, confirm the radio channel and stop signal, and stop immediately when signals are lost, conflicting, or unclear.
  • Perform routine test lifts under supervision and move loads slowly through the approved path while watching balance, rigging seating, brake response, and clearance.

Qualifications
