Job description

Job Summary:

Operate hydraulic rough terrain cranes with a capacity of under 80 tons. Responsible for lifting and moving materials, machines, or products in various directions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine load weights and check against lifting capacity to prevent overload.
• Operate cranes by moving levers, foot pedals, or dials to lift, move, or place loads.
• Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage.
• Guide helpers in placing blocking or outrigging under cranes.
• Maintain crane and material moving equipment in good condition.
• Ensure loads are secured before moving.
• Review daily schedules and special instructions for deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Must have NCCCO Certification.

Experience:

• Previous experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to perform skilled labor for up to 12 hours a day.
• Dependable with high integrity.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Work Location and Travel:

• Located at 1171 Grill Road, Van Wert, OH 45891.
• Daily travel to various client sites, mainly within Florida, with 15% travel outside Florida, including overnight stays.

Work Environment:

• Full-time position with variable days and hours, including some overnight and overtime work.
• Safety-sensitive role with exposure to hazards like hazardous chemicals and heavy equipment.
• Work often in harsh weather conditions; safety protocols mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

• Effective communication skills for instructions and safety.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Good vision and strength to handle tools and perform inspections.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
