Felix Construction Company is seeking an experienced Crane Operator with a strong background in operating heavy construction equipment, including crawler cranes. The ideal candidate will occasionally work alongside crew members to assist the team. This role requires NCCCO and LBC or equivalent crane operator certification.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate various types of heavy construction equipment including loaders, rollers, gannons, reach forks, backhoes, excavators, and lattice boom crawler cranes over 50 tons.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain cranes at all boom lengths, angles, and positions safely, making difficult clearance judgments and compensating for variations in lifting capacity.
• Dig and set large diameter pipe.
• Install trench jacks and shoring boxes.
• Perform potholing and digging around utilities safely.
• Perform daily maintenance and inspections per operator's manual.
• Keep proper tools on hand for the crane or other equipment.
• Communicate with team members and monitor personnel or vehicles working near the crane.
• Inspect cables and hoist blocks for damage and report issues.
• Work as part of a team to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot work-related problems using experience and communication.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings and training.
• Report safety and vehicle incidents promptly with thorough documentation.

Who You Are

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification, valid and in good standing.
• Lattice Boom Crawler crane certification.
• At least 4 years of crane operation experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; English required.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Effective communication and proactive safety awareness.
• Proficient in smartphone, tablet, or laptop use for job site location and paperwork.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role involves working on construction sites in extreme temperatures. The employee must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and use hand tools. Vision, sitting, climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, reaching, hearing, and talking are required.
