Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Crane Operator in New Hampshire to maintain refuse flow to boilers and manage pit operations. You will monitor and operate the refuse crane, ensure safe and efficient crane motion, and maintain the crane deck and control room.

The role emphasizes proper combustion, clear communication, problem-solving, and teamwork to support operations and environmental goals.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, lubricate, inspect, and clean the refuse crane.
  • Operate crane smoothly to reduce cable jerking and wear on parts.
  • Mix refuse before feeding to boilers for proper combustion and to reduce arches.
  • Keep crane control room and deck area clean and orderly at all times.
  • Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using intercom, radio, or in person.
  • Anticipate and address typical or recurring problems as they arise.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and assist in diagnosing problem areas.
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

Job description

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Crane Operator. The Crane Operator will operate a refuse crane to maintain proper refuse flow to operating boilers and to control pit management.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring, lubricating, inspecting, and cleaning refuse crane
  • Responsible for but not limited to operating Crane smoothly to prevent excessive grapple swings, eliminate cable jerking, and reduce wear on electrical and mechanical parts.
  • Thoroughly mixes refuse before feeding to boilers to ensure proper combustion and ensure that few arches occur.
  • Maintains the crane control room and the area on and around the crane deck in a clean, neat, and orderly condition always.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; as well as communicates clearly whether using in-situ intercom system, two-way radio, or face to face.
  • Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action.
  • Troubleshoots equipment and assists in diagnosing problem areas.
  • Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

  • Operate a 1.5-inch fire hose operating at 125 psi line pressure to the extent required to extinguish fire
  • Operate fire extinguishing equipment ranging from handheld extinguishers to 200 lb portable units
  • Access confined spaces and pressure vessels through standard 12" by 16" manways
PPE Required

Work in areas under adverse conditions that may require the donning and use of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, the following with average fatigue:
