Job summary

Stewart Construction, LLC is seeking a Crane Operator to safely operate heavy friction cranes on barges and land. This role supports marine and industrial construction projects along the Mississippi River and at Harvey, LA yards.

The ideal candidate holds NCCCO certification with LBC or LAT, TWIC, passes drug, background, fit-for-duty checks, and can travel to remote worksites regularly. Competitive wages and benefits offered.

Summary Description:

The primary function of the Crane Operator is to operate heavy friction cranes on barges and on land.

Worksite Location(s):

Most of our work is performed at remote worksites along the Mississippi River, south of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, or at our own yard in Harvey, Louisiana, but we sometimes operate in other geographical areas.

Stewart Construction, LLC provides a wide variety of industrial and marine construction services, including the fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of docks, wharfs, pilings, dolphins, fender systems, coffer dams, intake and outtake systems, ship and barge material handling systems, and other, similar systems and structures, as well as demolition and removal services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18+ years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• 1+ years' experience operating heavy friction or hydraulic cranes (preferably in marine construction).
• 1+ years of experience working on or by the water (preferably the lower Mississippi River).
• Experience operating Manitowoc friction cranes.
• Experience operating hydraulic cranes.
• Experience operatingcranes mounted on a barge or other marine vessel.
• Experience driving pilesin a marine environment.
