Job summary

Hampton Lumber is seeking a Crane Operator to safely operate a circular overhead crane and move logs, lumber, equipment, and materials to maintain production flow in our Allendale County facility.

The role requires at least 1 year of heavy equipment experience, strong attention to detail, and reliable teamwork. We offer full-time employment with company benefits and a path for career growth within a family-owned organization.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate crane to unload incoming log trucks.
  • Ensure log inventory is correctly stacked and rotated.
  • Load logs on decks to keep a consistent flow into the mill.
  • Conduct daily inspections.
  • Maintain cleanliness of operator cab and work area.
  • Communicate effectively with truck drivers and scalers using radios.

The Crane Operator's primary function is to safely and efficiently operate a circular overhead crane to move logs, lumber, equipment, and materials throughout the facility. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production flow while ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards.

  • Previous crane operation experience preferred.
