Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Crane Maintenance Mechanics for projects located in and around Hurst, TX. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $27/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope:

• Facilitates and troubleshoots mechanical/electrical issues with service projects.
• Replaces defective parts of machines or adjusts clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
• Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Assembles and installs equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Connects power to machines/equipment and tests units to evaluate mechanical operation.
• Positions steel beams to support bed-plates of machines and equipment using blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Signals crane operator to lower basic assembly units to bed-plate and aligns units to centerline.
• Inserts shims, adjusts tensions on nuts and bolts, or positions parts using hand tools and measuring instruments to set specified clearances.
• Attaches moving parts and sub-assemblies to basic assembly units using hand tools and power tools.
• Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assembles machines and secures them to foundations or structures using hand tools and power tools.
• Lays out mounting holes using measuring instruments and drills holes with power drills.
• Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of 3-phase electric motors and controls; proficiency with a multimeter.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Safety awareness.
• Ability to work on call as needed.
• Mathematical skills.
• Ability to work at heights and on ladders.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
