As a member of the Engineering team, you will prepare complex calculations, create layouts, and coordinate with suppliers to establish component specifications while supporting prototype testing and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • BS in engineering (prefer mechanical or agricultural)
  • Minimum of two years’ proven design experience in crane industry or five years’ in heavy equipment industry

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and develop new cost-effective design concepts using internal and competitive data
  • Prepare and check complex calculations for loads, speeds, deflections, stresses, tolerances, and safety factors
  • Create layouts of new designs or revisions to existing designs
  • Interact with suppliers to obtain component information and establish specifications
  • Prepare, check and revise engineering orders and bills of materials per Link-Belt Design policies
  • Calculate weights and center of gravity for components and assemblies
  • Support prototype assembly, testing and field service issue resolutions
  • Coordinate the work of other personnel to complete designs and meet product timelines
