Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an Assembly & Disassembly Technician in Texas to perform crane assembly/disassembly, inspections, and field repairs. You will document maintenance, communicate deficiencies, and ensure equipment readiness for rental.

The role requires strong safety practices, good communication, and teamwork within a diverse crew. Responsibilities include equipment inspections, parts handling, and coordinating with shop and field teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Welding/structural repair vocational training preferred.
• Relevant experience may substitute formal education.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles and conducts mechanical/structural repairs on cranes.
• Performs monthly inspections and documents results per policy.
• Communicates equipment deficiencies to crew lead and suggests solutions.
• Inspects equipment prior to rental to ensure safety and readiness.
• Keeps workspace, service trucks, and tools organized and clean.
• Documents maintenance and inspections on hoisting equipment per process.
• Communicates with internal/external partners about maintenance questions.
• Conducts field repairs on hoisting equipment on sites as needed.
• Manages receiving, shipping, and storage of hoisting parts.
• Participates in cycle counts to ensure record accuracy.
• Operates vehicles and equipment safely per safety policy.
• Cleans and maintains warehouse facilities.
