Position Summary

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

Performs scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines and systems.
Repairs malfunctioning machines, systems, and auxiliary equipment.
Routinely inspects machinery and systems for faults to prevent downtime.
Initiates improvements to enhance machine and equipment functionality and efficiency.
Demonstrates knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices in the field.
Acts as a subject matter expert at higher levels of the job.
May act as a team leader for more senior positions, overseeing work to meet targets.
Documents activities accordingly.
Focuses on plastics processing and mold maintenance.

The job function is not exhaustive and may include additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

Requires entry-level working knowledge of the technical field or specialization.
Exercises general application of principles, theories, and concepts; performs entry-level shop floor competencies.
Typically receives detailed instructions; work is checked routinely.
May require limited judgment in problem-solving.
Contacts are mainly with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.

Qualifications: Education/Experience/Training

High school diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent required.
0-0.5 years of related experience or PBS requirements completed with passing assessment.
Applicable industry or professional certification preferred.
Regular, predictable on-site attendance required.
Ability to work non-standard schedules as needed.

Physical requirements include sitting, talking, hearing, using hands, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Physical Demands

Heavy work involving exerting up to 60 lbs of force occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.

Activities include reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, visual acuity, and communication.

Work Environment

Moderate noise; production environment; occasional office environment.

Compensation
