Ace Handyman Services McHenry, IL is seeking a skilled Craftsman/Handyman to join our team in McHenry, IL. You will handle diverse residential repairs and remodeling tasks, delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

You will work on projects across drywall, carpentry, painting, tile, and finish carpentry, with emphasis on reliability, communication, and client satisfaction for long-term growth with a locally owned Ace Hardware-backed company.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Carpenter, Craftsman, or Handyman.
• Strong knowledge across multiple trades: drywall, painting, tile, flooring, basic plumbing, basic electrical.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Own a standard set of professional tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of residential repairs and maintenance.
• Complete carpentry, drywall repair, painting, tile installation, and flooring projects.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Install fixtures, doors, trim, cabinets, and other finish carpentry items.
• Troubleshoot repair issues and determine best solutions.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout each project.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and complete work efficiently while upholding high quality standards.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Carpenter, Craftsman, or Handyman

Strong knowledge across multiple trades, including:

• Home inspection or estimating experience is a plus
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
