Job summary

Air Combat Command at Holloman AFB, NM, seeks a Developmental Recreation Assistant (Skills Development) to support the Arts & Crafts Center. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 1000–1700 with occasional weekend shifts.

Duties include assisting with crafts and customer service, and operating center equipment. Upon completion of required training, the incumbent will be non-competitively promoted to the NF-02 Recreation Assistant (Skills Development).

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Developmental position with potential for NF-02 promotion after training.
• Hours are Monday–Friday 1000–1700 with occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment in the arts center (engravers, embroidery machines, kilns, heat presses, etc).
• Maintain cash register operations, take payments, issue receipts, and balance end-of-day.
• Assist customers with crafts, provide demonstrations, and guide skill development under supervision.
