This position will be one of the Craft Recruiting Team members supporting the MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure segment - focused on the MasTec Industrial Group. The Craft Recruiter will be responsible for executing full life cycle craft recruiting and employment activities, including onboarding, performance assessments, and transfer coordination. Tasks will include but are not limited to creating and managing requisitions, including assessing job specification criteria, identifying the evaluation and interview approach, completing documentation and tracking candidate information in real-time, and negotiating job offer details with the candidate. Craft Recruiter must identify and stay current on market trends in the marketplace that impact the ability to support project staffing. Beneficial if you are bilingual in Spanish.
Location & Travel: This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position supports our business across the United States. Must be able to work within normal business hours Monday-Friday between 7am-6pm of the applicable time zone. This position will include up to 50% travel, encompassing work sites across the United States, and will include some overnight travel. Travel is paid, and when overnight travel is required, meals and lodging will be provided.

Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with project management and operations teams to understand their needs and expectations for staffing.
- Open requisitions as requested by Operations or HR leaders. Initiate appropriate advertising and sourcing techniques are deployed timely.
- Screen applicants, assess their skill level/fit for roles, and route appropriately. Act as a professional and positive company representative, displaying our brand and culture.
- Execute the full recruitment and hiring process from candidate sourcing, interview coordination, completing the offer process, and requesting pre-employment screening.
- Place, receive, and record employment-related telephone calls, applications and resumes necessary to recruit and/or refer applicants to various job sites. Schedule interviews and candidate travel when necessary.
- Ensure proper hiring documentation occurs and that pay rates fall within assigned project pay scale.
- Support the onboarding of new employees including distribution of new hire materials, while collaborating with administrative staff to ensure a smooth hiring process.
- Attend daily and weekly project meetings to understand operational staffing needs and timing, providing input as needed for staffing updates to the project team.
- Resolve complex recruiting queries and non-standard recruiting requests.
- Actively participate in career fairs, sourcing events, and projects, which includes travel as needed.
- Track and escalate candidate and talent issues to Talent Acquisition Leadership.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Manager and Resource Specialist to develop a recruiting strategy for assigned project.
- Stay current on the company’s organizational structure, policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with passive talent, current and past applicants, and employee referrals.
- Create continuous candidate pipelines to top roles, leveraging the candidate relationship management tool.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 1-2 years related experience in trades, construction, craft or related industry recruiting is required.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Must be willing to travel to job sites or recruitment events, up to 50% travel (e.g. 2 weeks or 10 days per month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

- Professional approach and demeanor, with a desire to be part of a driven and supportive team.
- Demonstrated skill in the successful development and implementation of creative recruiting strategies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, candidate sourcing tools, and human resources software applications.
- Analyze and organize data into reports and management information.
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
- Solve practical problems and make appropriate decisions based on facts.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, meet multiple deadlines, and solve practical problems.
- Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding employment practices.
