The Clark Craft Instructor assists skilled tradespeople in performing a variety of tasks related to construction. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on training and on-the-job experience in the construction industry, preparing individuals for advancement into skilled craft positions. The trainee will support site operations, ensure safety compliance, and develop proficiency in basic construction techniques and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist skilled trades workers with daily tasks.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at construction sites.
  • Prepare and maintain work areas by cleaning and organizing materials.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Attend required training sessions and safety meetings.
  • Learn and adhere to company policies, job-specific instructions, and industry standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the project tea

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in construction trades.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.


Work Environment:

Construction site environment with exposure to loud noise, dust, and heavy machinery.


Clark offers a total compensation package that includes base salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, retirement/401k, and Company Contribution plan. Additional benefits include life insurance, commuter benefit, short & long term disability, fitness reimbursement, FSA, tuition reimbursement, back-up daycare, tutoring & family support benefits, EAP/Work-Life assistance, and a holiday contribution program. For this role the base salary range is $60k-$90k. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
