Job summary

Tangled Roots Brewing Co. in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a part-time server to deliver friendly, guest-focused service in our brewery and restaurant.

You will collaborate with a team to create memorable dining experiences and assist with beverage and food learning as new beers are developed. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, preparing checks, and supporting kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• B.A.S.S.E.T certified.
• Serve Safe certified.
• Customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Servers will create a unique service experience to our guests.
• Primary duties include:
• Servers are expected to work as a part of a team.
• A positive, friendly demeanor and the ability to stay calm and poised under pressure is a must for success in this position.
• Treat each guest as though they are guests in our home.
• Anticipating the needs of our guests before they realize that there is a need.
• Actively study and learn new beer and food that is being created in our brewery and restaurant.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner
• Collect payments from tables
• Prepare checks
• Help food preparation staff when necessary
• Responsible for all opening, closing and ongoing side work as well as ongoing cleaning of the restaurant.
