Job summary

Tangled Roots Brewing Co. in Lockport, IL is hiring part-time servers to create a unique guest experience. You will work as part of a team, maintain a friendly demeanor, and anticipate guest needs while learning about in-house beers and food.

Responsibilities include taking orders, handling payments, assisting kitchen staff, and keeping opening/closing side work up to date. E-Verify participation is required for new hires after offer acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Servers will create a unique service experience to our guests.
• Servers must practice proper steps of service.
• Primary duties include:
• Servers are expected to work as a part of a team.
• A positive, friendly demeanor and the ability to stay calm and poised under pressure is a must for success in this position.
• Treat each guest as though they are guests in our home.
• Anticipating the needs of our guests before they realize that there is a need.
• Actively study and learn new beer and food that is being created in our brewery and restaurant.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner
• Collect payments from tables
• Prepare checks
• Help food preparation staff when necessary
• Responsible for all opening, closing and ongoing side work as well as ongoing cleaning of the restaurant.
• Tangled Roots participates in E-Verify and will conduct employment eligibility verification checks on new hires after a job offer is accepted, in accordance with the Federal Law.
