Job summary

Harpoon Willy's, part of the Jersey Shore Restaurant Group, seeks a bartender to join a high-volume, guest-centric team. The role emphasizes cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll handle orders, maintain a cash bank, and promote the venue through social engagement while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. 21+ and timely certifications are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years restaurant experience and/or 2 years bartending in a similar establishment
• Extensive knowledge of Spirits, Wine and Food
• Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent customer service skills and a Positive attitude are required
• Ability to read and write in English proficiently
• Must be 21 years of age and be willing to obtain Tips and Food Handlers cards within 30 days of employment
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks
• Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment up to 50 lbs
• Must be physically able to walk on various surfaces for extended periods
• Manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing

Responsibilities

• Interact one-on-one with guests, take orders, craft cocktails, and ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintain an issued cash bank throughout the shift
• Market the establishment through social media outreach and staff outings
• Support company goals, vision, and values as a team member
• Follow Food & Beverage service sequences per venue managers and chefs
• Demonstrate knowledge of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages while keeping bar clean
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond quickly
• Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring sanitation and safety
• Collaborate with management, servers, and staff to resolve guest needs
