Job summary

Yardbird Chicago is seeking a skilled Bartender to deliver an exceptional beverage experience in a high-volume, hospitality-driven environment. You will craft mixed drinks, showcase our bourbon selections, and share warm Southern hospitality with every guest.

Responsibilities include serving guests at the bar, preparing drinks to standard recipes, checking IDs, maintaining a clean, organized bar, monitoring inventory, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous Bartender experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, and beverage trends.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure with attention to detail.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service preferred (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe).

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage service to all bar guests.
• Prepare and serve drinks per standard recipes.
• Check IDs to verify legal drinking age.
• Maintain responsible alcohol service and comply with regulations.
• Take orders from guests or staff and process payments.
• Garnish and present drinks according to recipes and standards.
• Monitor bar inventory and restock as needed.
• Keep glasses, bar equipment, and working area clean and organized.
