Job summary

Whale's Rib in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a bartender to join our team. The role involves mixing drinks, serving guests with a friendly attitude, maintaining a clean bar, and handling payments through the POS system.

Knowledge of current promotions and proper age verification is essential. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass Florida Responsible Vendor as well as food safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for the full shift and perform key bar duties.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Mixes liquor and drink ingredients according to recipes
• Serves guests with a cheerful and courteous temperament
• Maintains a neat and clean bar area
• Verifies correct pricing for drinks
• Ability to serve food as per server job description
• Knows drink promotions and can answer guest questions
• Enter orders into POS accurately and promptly
• Assess guests and identify intoxicated individuals; call a Manager when needed
• Handle payments (cards, cash, gift cards) accurately and provide correct change
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and side-work
