Job summary

Western Alliance Bank seeks a Community Relations Associate to support the CRA team, manage reporting, and coordinate employee volunteer activities. You will handle CRA documentation, track volunteer hours and donation requests, and work with multiple departments to ensure compliance and effective community engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in Financial Institution or similar field.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general banking operations and products/services.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations.
• Knowledge of non-profit financial reporting and fundraising.
• Experience with CRA regulatory definitions of Community Development, grants and donations.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
• Up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Support the CRA team to ensure compliance with CRA regulations and alignment with the bank's CRA strategy, planning and oversight program.
• Perform administrative duties related to CRA reporting, tracking and documentation.
• Research volunteer service opportunities and coordinate employee volunteer service hours with CRA Community Development Managers.
• Set up and promote volunteer events in coordination with Community Development Managers, Internal Communications, and business resource groups using the Bank's internal systems.
• Assist with validating CRA qualification of volunteer activities.
• Process and submit donation requests internally or externally; monitor donations workflow and budget.
• Prepare periodic updates to the team on donations status and assist with external communications to grantees.
• Track hours, validate services and provide reporting; monitor donation budget and donations via internal software.
