Job summary

Planters Bank & Trust Company seeks a CRA compliance support role under the CRA Officer to ensure adherence to the Community Reinvestment Act and bank policies. The position focuses on reviewing, validating, and compiling CRA data records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; banking knowledge preferred.
• Previous CRA or Compliance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions for reviewing reports related to regulations and laws.
• Knowledge of bank services, policies and procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and sound judgment to identify and resolve issues.
• Organize, prioritize work, and meet deadlines; able to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking to large groups.
• Willing to organize and conduct after-hour events in the community.
• Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Report.

Primary Job Description:

Under direction of the CRA Officer, support implementation of the requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and corresponding Bank policies and procedures through: Review, validation, and compilation of CRA data records and reporting; provision of analytical support through accurate identification and classification of CRA loans; maintenance of systems capturing and reporting CRA activity data; and assessment of qualification of community development activities.

Location:

The location for this position may be flexible based on where the applicant is located as well as office space availability within our Planters Bank system. This position may require some travel.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Equipment Skills and Other Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience preferred; knowledge of banking with basic understanding of regulations and audit procedures preferred. Previous CRA or Compliance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions for reviewing reports applicable to regulations and laws.
• Knowledge of bank services, policies and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills. Must possess sound judgment and be able to accurately identify and proactively resolve potential issues.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
• Strong organizational, time-management and research skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable speaking to large groups, organizing and conducting meetings.
• Must be willing to organize and conduct after-hour events in the community.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and technical skills necessary to perform related job duties.
• Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Report.
