Piper Companies is seeking a CQV STW Maintenance Technician for a 12-month, fully onsite contract in Holly Springs, NC. This role is vital for bringing critical systems online within a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

The technician will be responsible for executing startup activities, performing system walkdowns, and resolving mechanical issues. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience, be able to interpret engineering drawings, and work safely with energized systems.

Piper Companies is seeking a CQV STW Maintenance Technician to join a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization for a 12-month, fully onsite contract position located in Holly Springs, NC. The CQV STW Maintenance Technician will play a key role in bringing critical systems online and preparing them for commissioning and qualification within a large-scale production environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute startup and turnover activities to safely bring utility and process systems online following mechanical completion
• Perform system walkdowns using P&IDs, supporting energization, loop checks, and pre-commissioning activities
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues such as leaks, valve malfunctions, and equipment deficiencies
• Partner with engineers and cross-functional teams to coordinate system readiness and support calibration efforts
• Document activities, manage punch list items, and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of hands‑on industrial or mechanical experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and perform system walkdowns independently
• Experience working with energized systems, tools, and basic mechanical repairs
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices; OSHA or similar certifications are a plus
• Comfortable performing physical work and operating equipment such as scissor lifts (training provided if needed)

Compensation

• Salary Range: $70,000–$85,000/year (USD)
