Job summary

Apple, Inc. seeks a CPU Performance Engineer focused on the memory subsystem to help define and optimize CPU and cache micro-architecture across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and server products.

You will work with the CPU Platform Architecture team to identify bottlenecks, evaluate ideas through modeling and RTL collaboration, and drive performance improvements. The role involves analyzing workloads and maintaining the simulation environment to enable data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in CPU and SOC architecture and micro-architecture.
• Experience with performance simulation environments.
• Object-oriented programming in C/C++.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Perl or Python.

Responsibilities

• Analyze memory subsystem performance to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with CPU/SoC designers to assess feasibility of ideas.
• Model, refine, and correlate ideas to experiments and data.
• Analyze single- and multi-threaded workloads across product categories.
