Job summary

AMD in Austin, TX seeks a CPU Core Design Verification Engineer to verify microarchitectural features in next-generation x86 cores. You will work in a C++ and Verilog/SystemVerilog environment, owning a portion of unit- or core-level verification and driving tests, checkers, and coverage with limited supervision.

• Proficient in C++/SystemVerilog for hardware verification.
• Experience with verification infrastructure and testbench components.
• Familiarity with coverage-driven verification and constrained-random testing.

Responsibilities

• Own test plan, stimulus, checking, and functional coverage for a portion of unit- or core-level verification.
• Design, implement, and maintain C++-based and SystemVerilog-based testbench components.
• Write and maintain SystemVerilog assertions and coverage models.
• Debug simulation failures and perform root-cause analysis across RTL/testbench.
• Collaborate with RTL designers, architects, and verification engineers to understand features.
