Job summary

Jobtailor in Florham Park, NJ seeks an accounting professional to support month-end close, GAAP-based revenue accounting, and SOX controls. You will prepare journals, assist auditors, and provide detailed documentation for reviews, while partnering with payroll and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare various portions of the accounting close, including standards, fixed asset subledger, manual journal entries, accrued expense and revenue functions.
• Assist with auditor queries and prepare company statutory accounts.
• Provide auditors with detailed information and supporting documents for periodic reviews.
• Support payroll processing and analysis.
• Ensure the monthly close cycle is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare financial statements and provide insight into variances against budget, prior periods, and forecasts.
• Apply working knowledge of GAAP for revenue accounting, recurring entries, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Execute monthly SOX controls and provide documentation to the SOX team.
• Maintain US GAAP vs Local GAAP reconciliations and provide insights into differences.
• Deliver key business projects, including system upgrades and new initiatives.
• Collaborate with local finance and operations teams to drive change and value.
• Advise finance, sales, and operations on regulations and ad-hoc requests.
• Support financial operations with accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting processes.
• Manage general ledger activities and support audits.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments.
