Job Description

The CPQ Application Developer/System Analyst is responsible for collecting requirements, design, development, testing, implementing, and supporting Configure, Price and Quote (CPQ) solutions throughout the enterprise.

This role requires working with Sales Operations, Product Offering Managers, and Engineers to capture configuration requirements for various products and services, understanding business needs, and implementing best‑in‑class CPQ solutions.

The ideal candidate has prior multiple implementation experience with Oracle CPQ (BigMachines) or equivalent, demonstrating strong technical skills, understanding of business processes, focus on user experience, and a drive to improve sales effectiveness through CPQ system implementation and maintenance. The candidate will collect, write, and maintain product and service configurator specification documentation and work with development teams to deliver results.

The position will be based onsite at Vertiv’s Westerville, OH headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Document business processes and translate requirements into technical specifications; write and maintain configurator specification documentation.
• Build new product configurators and maintain existing ones using languages such as BML, BMQL, SOAP, REST, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Elicit and communicate requirements among stakeholders, presenting ideas clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders; work independently and as part of a team.
• Identify business issues and opportunities, assess solutions, and meet stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering to test and proof configuration models before release.
• Continuously learn new skills through self‑study and training.
• Use contemporary project‑management and office productivity platforms to facilitate collaboration and communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with CPQ platforms (Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, or similar).
• Experience collecting, writing, and maintaining configurator specification documentation.
• Experience building complex product configurators and maintaining existing ones.
• Experience integrating cross‑functional systems in a highly integrated environment.
• Strong experience with SaaS applications, including developing, extending, and debugging cloud‑based solutions.
• Hands‑on expertise with REST and SOAP APIs required to build and integrate CPQ modules with enterprise systems.
• Ability to work flexibly with shifting priorities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building trust, collaboration, and navigating cross‑cultural and geographic diversity.
• Experience in an agile development environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using ServiceNow (preferred).
• Oracle CPQ certification (preferred).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
