Job summary

GOTAFE in Florida seeks an undergraduate intern to support construction management activities. You will assist with scheduling, budgeting, and supervision on active jobs, while helping enforce safety and policy compliance.

You will gain hands-on experience across construction disciplines and may participate in related internships throughout the year. Strong MS Office skills and flexible hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Enrolled in an undergraduate program in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field.
• Prior construction-related internships or work experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to work flexible hours with the construction industry.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist the Construction Manager and Superintendents with managing all job site functions, including scheduling and supervision.
• Help ensure on-site safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Learn to estimate costs, solicit bids, and create schedules.
• Explore various areas within the division to understand general operations beyond the assigned department.
• Provide basic administrative support, assist supervisors, and help with special projects as needed.
• Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and enhance company goodwill and profit.
• Other duties as assigned.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Enrolled in an undergraduate program in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field.
• Prior construction-related internships or work experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong desire to expand knowledge of commercial projects and gain exposure to new business areas.
• Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Able to work flexible hours consistent with the construction industry.

Compensation & Benefits
