Job summary

Rock Hill School District Ebinport Elementary in Rock Hill, SC seeks a Behavior Management Assistant to support students in crisis, implement de-escalation strategies, and help return them to general education. Qualifications

  • Paraprofessional requirements must be met prior to employment.
  • Minimum 60 semester hours earned, an associate degree, or an approved assessment listed in the posting.
  • Valid Driver’s License or ability to provide transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Support general education classroom teachers by modeling crisis prevention interventions.
  • Assist students in crisis with safe, calm strategies to return to instruction.
  • Collect data on student visits (frequency, duration, intensity) and document outcomes.
  • Share data with principals, teachers, ESE staff, MTSS team and district personnel.
  • Support MTSS processes with check-in/check-out and behavioral supports.
  • Develop and manage a caseload of proactive, evidence-based interventions to reduce disruptions.
  • Support school counselor and mental health providers in SEL activities for crisis needs.
  • Participate in required training and engage with community resources for wrap-around services.
