Position Summary

This position is an experienced level mining position assigned to underground mining operations. It involves ensuring the safe operation of mining equipment, performing maintenance, and providing general labor support for all underground activities.

• Safely operate underground mining equipment
• Utilize body mechanics, equipment, and tools safely and responsibly
• Ensure safe and efficient coal production and assist in coal production activities
• Be reliable, responsible, and fulfill obligations
• Comply with company policies, federal and state laws, and regulatory standards
• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a minimum of 1-year underground mining experience
• Possess a Pennsylvania Experienced Miner Certificate
• Be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Arrive promptly at the worksite for assignments and shift preparations
• Work a shift rotation as scheduled
• Work safely and effectively as part of a team
• Perform heavy work such as lifting, carrying, pulling/pushing, climbing, shoveling, walking, or prying; physical demands may vary based on industry needs
• Work on or near moving equipment as required
• Understand and grasp mining concepts and safety strategies

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Supervisory or management experience is a plus.
