The coder assigns ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes for clinic and hospital professional services, ensuring compliance with regulations and payer guidelines.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely claim submission, collaboration with providers and revenue cycle teams, and ongoing learning to deliver high-quality service to clinics we support.

Qualifications

• Active CPC certification is required.
• Extensive CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 knowledge.
• 3+ years of coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes for professional outpatient and inpatient services.
• Review medical record documentation to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
• Research and resolve coding edits, denials, and documentation-related issues; collaborate with providers and revenue cycle teams.
• Meet productivity, quality, and turnaround time standards.
• Participate in coding audits, education, and other departmental initiatives.
