Allworth Financial is seeking a Tax Preparer for its Folsom, CA office. The role involves preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, tax projections, and notices, with client-facing responsibilities and collaboration with advisors on strategic tax planning.

This full-time, exempt position reports to the Folsom office and offers a base salary range of $75-110K, with benefits and opportunities for growth within the firm.

Qualifications

• CPA designation and 2+ years of individual tax preparation experience.
• BS/BA in accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in income tax planning and compliance.
• Experience with multi-state returns.
• Strong Excel and tax software skills (Intuit Lacerte preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns.
• Determine federal, state and local filing requirements.
• Respond to IRS notices and client inquiries.
• Participate in tax strategy discussions with clients and advisors.
• Exhibit strong client communication and service.
• Support the team with tax planning and notices.
