Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Prague, OK is seeking a corrosion control technician to repair, install and maintain corrosion control equipment on site, including rectifiers, monitoring devices and associated systems.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, 1–2 years of pipeline/corrosion experience, able to read technical manuals, and must pass a DOT drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Valid State Driver’s License with clean abstract.
• Able to pass DOT drug screening and random testing.
• Pass background check.
• Ability to complete Operator Qualifications as assigned.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical operational manuals.
• Minimum of 1–2 years pipeline/corrosion related experience.
• Basic understanding of multi-meters and related electrical test equipment.
• Knowledge of CPDM, CPS, data loggers, pipe locators and related testing/diagnostic equipment.

• Apply corrosion skills and aptitude to repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform other predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on corrosion control equipment, facilities, systems, and associated devices (rectifiers, test stations, ground beds, critical bonds, foreign line crossings, cased crossing, surveys, etc.)

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills

• Ability to complete Operator Qualifications as assigned

• Minimum of 1-2 years pipeline/corrosion related experience
• Basic understanding of multi-meters and related electrical test equipment
• Knowledge of half-cells, UT equipment, cadweld processes, coating evaluations/applications equipment, CPDM, CPS, data loggers, pipe locators, current interrupters, related testing/diagnostic and pipe protection equipment and processes

Certifications and Trainings

AMPP/NACE CP1 Certification Required, CP2 preferred

Physical and Work Demands

• Ability to work outdoors in various climates including extreme heat and cold, requiring safety accommodations such as protective clothing
• Frequent stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting required
• Ability to follow worksite safety instructions physically and visually
• Driving a vehicle on work sites in all types of weather conditions
