About the Job

We are seeking a passionate Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Aircraft Maintenance Technician/Mechanic with experience in general aviation aircraft maintenance (piston and PT6A engines). Only highly skilled candidates need apply. You will work with a team of A&Ps and IAs in inspecting and repairing GA and agricultural aircraft (Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, Air Tractor, etc.).

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, a desire for continuous learning, and humility to ask questions and learn. No task is too small—from shop cleaning to complex repairs.

Hours: Monday–Thursday, 6 am–4:30 pm, with availability for on-call and overtime. Travel to aircraft at other airports and occasionally in other states may be required. Sometimes, work on Fridays and Saturdays is necessary.

**The successful candidate may be asked to work after hours occasionally: Mon–Thurs, Friday, and/or Saturday.**

Job Duties
  • Perform tasks such as opening/closing aircraft panels, repairing, fabricating, assembling, painting, engine maintenance, radio and electrical systems, hydraulics, turbine engines, sheet metal work, inventory management, and shop organization.
  • Provide friendly service and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Follow directions from supervisors and prioritize safety.
  • Manage maintenance records using cloud-based software; ability to learn new programs is essential.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

Other duties may be assigned by your supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience as a licensed A&P mechanic.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Pass a background check and a 5-panel drug screen; random drug testing will be conducted post-employment.
  • Valid FAA A&P license upon application submission.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with PT6A engines and GA aircraft.
  • Ability to take the IA exam.
  • Interest in leadership and team lead roles.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull objects over 100 lbs occasionally, and over 50 lbs regularly.
  • Capable of working in confined, hazardous spaces, and on aircraft in various positions (climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping).
Skills and Work Style
  • Desire to obtain an IA license.
  • Proficiency with FAA regulations, ADs, and log entries.
  • Safety-consciousness and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Own tools for aircraft maintenance; willingness to purchase additional tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and internet navigation.
