Job summary

Opus Inspection, Inc. in Rhode Island seeks a Mystery Shopper/Covert Auditor to perform audits at emission testing stations on a temporary basis. The role requires independent work and professional judgment, with regular communication to management.

Qualifications

• Dedicated attention to detail and accuracy in audits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Rhode Island DMV policy and procedures.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Calling and scheduling appointments for state inspections.
• Picking up the assigned vehicle and cash from the office each day.
• Meeting with the designated DMV agent prior to each audit.
• Driving to the targeted inspection station, requesting a state inspection, and observing the full inspection process, including payment.
• Reconvening with the DMV agent after the inspection to document findings and complete the audit record (handwritten).
• Proceed to next inspection station.
• Make additional appointments in between audits if necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
