Responsibilities
  • Conduct coverage analysis for clinical trials, including reading and analyzing protocols to develop activity grids
  • Interpret Medicare policies and clinical practice guidelines to make billing determinations for clinical trials
  • Use software and internal resources to identify potential CPT/HCPCS codes relevant to activity grids
  • Participate in internal quality review processes by reviewing work completed by others
  • Attend to other duties as assigned by the supervisor, which may occasionally be unrelated to the primary position
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or significant relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a related role
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to understand clinical terms and descriptors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the clinical trial start-up process
  • Experience interpreting clinical trial protocols for visit schedules and treatment plans
  • Knowledge of research insurance billing and coverage guidelines, such as Medicare NCD 310.1
  • Experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator, particularly in oncology or medical device therapeutic areas
