REAch2 Academy Trust is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated primary education team. You will deliver learning in the absence of teachers, lead class sessions, and support pupils across the primary age range with academic, social, and emotional development.

You will work closely with staff to maintain learning continuity, assess progress, and support pupils with SEND. A strong commitment to safeguarding and a professional demeanor are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Teaching/Classroom Assistance is required.
  • GCSE English and Maths (C/4 or above) is required.
  • HLTA qualification is desirable.
  • Experience with children across the primary age range in a school.
  • Experience delivering whole-class teaching.
  • Experience assessing children's progress.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND and behavioural needs.
  • Experience planning with colleagues and contributing to a team.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and related learning programmes.
  • Excellent ICT skills are essential.

  • Deliver high-quality learning in the absence of class teachers.
  • Lead whole-class teaching sessions across the primary age range.
  • Support pupils in achieving their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with national expectations.
  • Support children with a range of SEND and behavioural needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a purposeful learning environment.
  • Uphold the academy's safeguarding and welfare responsibilities at all times.

Right to work in the UK.

  • N/SVQ Level 3 in Teaching/Classroom Assistance.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics Grade C/4 or above
  • HLTA qualification is also desirable,
  • Successful experience working with children across the primary age range within a primary school.
  • Experience of delivering whole-class teaching.
  • Experience of assessing children's achievements and progress.
  • Experience of supporting pupils with a variety of SEND and behavioural needs.
  • Experience of planning collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of the National Curriculum and other relevant learning programmes.
  • Understanding and implementation of relevant policies, legislation, and codes of practice.
  • Excellent ICT skills
