Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation seeks a Covenant Administrator to set up and maintain financial covenants and monitoring for the bank’s commercial loan portfolios using Moody’s CreditLens.

You will upload documents to FCM ImageCentre, verify covenant documentation, and maintain Moody’s tracking. A minimum of 3 years in commercial banking and strong accuracy are required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience setting up and maintaining financial covenants and reporting requirements for commercial loan portfolios.
  • Commercial banking experience with understanding of lending and credit terms.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with banking software and systems.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain financial covenants and reporting requirements for the bank's commercial loan portfolios in Moody’s CreditLens.
  • Process document uploads to the bank’s electronic credit file system (FCM ImageCentre) and ensure proper filing.
  • Verify loan documentation for covenant setup, updates, and maintenance.
  • Ensure approvals for covenant waivers and modifications are in place.
  • Interact with lines of business to obtain missing information and update Moody’s tracking.
  • Assist in processing covenant modification and Credit Services requests as needed.

What you'll do:
  • The Covenant Administrator is responsible for the set-up and maintenance of financial covenants and reporting requirements for the bank’s commercial loan portfolios in Moody’s CreditLens, the bank’s monitoring system, Process document uploads to the Bank’s electronic credit file system, FCM ImageCentre.
  • Set-up/Update Moody’s tracking requirements based on loan approval documents.
  • Verify appropriate loan documentation for new covenant set-up, updates, and maintenance.
  • Ensure receipt of appropriate approvals for covenant waivers and modifications.
  • Interact with LOB to obtain missing or incomplete information.
  • Process account officer reassignments.
  • Review Moody’s Detail Report for covenant tracking accuracy and updates.
  • Upload documents to FCM ImageCentre, if applicable.
  • Review documents, identify correct classification and make necessary updates when needed.
  • Adhere to strict naming conventions and categorization guidelines.
  • Create folders for all the covenant requests processed in Department’s shared drive.
  • Identify Annual Reviews and update Moody’s tracking per line of business requests.
  • Assist Credit Services Specialists with processing of covenant modification and Credit Services requests as needed.
  • Provide client support for assigned charters.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot internal inquiries and issues.
  • Bring issues to the attention of the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience setting up and maintaining financial covenants and reporting requirements for the bank’s commercial loan portfolios
  • Commercial banking experience required, working knowledge and understanding of commercial lending and credit terms
  • Ability to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
