Lincoln County in Missouri is seeking a Bailiff to maintain order and ensure security of court premises, staff, and visitors. You will collaborate with judges, attorneys, and court personnel to support smooth proceedings.

This role requires strong law enforcement experience, calm under pressure, and excellent communication skills. The position involves enforcing security protocols, escorting prisoners, and assisting with courtroom operations.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; peace officer certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Bailiff or in law enforcement.
• Excellent communication, and knowledge of courtroom procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain safe environment in courtrooms during hearings and trials.
• Screen individuals entering the courtroom and enforce security protocols.
• Preserve decorum and de-escalate disruptive behavior.
• Execute court orders and transport individuals as required.
• Oversee jury selection and manage jurors.
• Provide protection and support to witnesses.
• Maintain records of court proceedings and incident reports.
• Assist judges and attorneys; ensure security devices work properly.
• Transport prisoners securely and coordinate transfers with other agencies.
• Prepare and submit reports on incidents and security breaches.
