Job summary

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Working with law enforcement, victims and witnesses in preparing cases
• Reviewing search warrants
• Presenting cases to the grand jury
• Handling pretrial motions and negotiations
• Conducting trial and post‑conviction matters, including appeals
• Frequent court appearances in common pleas court for arraignments, pretrial hearings, trials, sentence hearings, post‑conviction proceedings on assigned cases
• Assisting other Assistant County Prosecutors as needed in the preparation and presentation of criminal cases
• Writing appellate briefs and prosecuting appeals
