Job summary

The Dane County Sheriff's Office is seeking an LTE Weapons Screening Attendant to operate screening equipment at the main entrance of the Dane County Courthouse and help maintain a safe environment during designated hours.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of work experience, preferably in security. Availability for overtime, nights, weekends, and events is required; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of consistent work experience, preferably in a security related area.
• Knowledge of standard security practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates weapon screening equipment at stations in the Dane County Courthouse.
• Provides information to the general public and employees.
• Investigates and reports disturbances, safety hazards and suspicious persons/activities.
